As the construction land resources in big cities are becoming increasingly saturated, the research on "indoor, miniaturized and oil-free" substations is of great significance for achieving the coordinated development of substation construction and economic, social and ecological environment. Recently, Shenzhen Aodian High Voltage Electric Co., Ltd. released an innovative product - 220kV evaporative cooling power transformer. As the key to promoting the implementation of the "embedded attached substation" project, this new power transformer will realize the construction of substations in high-density urban central areas.
According to reports, the 220kV evaporative cooling power transformer uses a new fluorocarbon material as an insulating cooling medium, which has no flash point, is non-flammable and non-explosive, and realizes the integration of fire protection, environmental protection and heat dissipation. "Compared with previous products, this product has a higher voltage level, setting a new high in the capacity of non-flammable power transformers, and is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly." Xiao Xia, chairman of Shenzhen Aodian High Voltage Electric Co., Ltd., said that the product development took 5 years and broke through a series of key core technical problems. Among them, the good environment provided by Shenzhen for innovative technology has played a great role.
Li Hanming, former deputy chief engineer of Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Co., Ltd., believes that the 220kV evaporative cooling power transformer is a breakthrough product with milestone significance in the history of power transformer technology development. On the one hand, it can prevent fire and explosion accidents of power transformers and protect people's lives and property safety; on the other hand, evaporative cooling power transformers can be "embedded" in office areas, production areas, and living areas, greatly saving urban land space.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a contiguous city with a dense population and huge electricity demand. Taking Shenzhen as an example, Shenzhen's power load reached 19.1 million kilowatts in 2019, ranking first in the country. Shenzhen currently has about 270 substations, and more than 100 will be built in the future. According to conventional construction, the area occupied is huge. It is estimated that if embedded attached substations are used instead, more than ten substations can be reduced in Guangming District, Shenzhen alone.
Jia Xingdong, director of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, said that in many large cities, due to the increasing saturation of construction land resources, promoting the construction of embedded attached substations is of great significance to improving the comprehensive development benefits of land and the coordinated development of the economic, social and ecological environment.
