On July 19, 2024, in Qingdao, Shandong, China Iron and Steel Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the Powder Metallurgy Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance (CPMA) jointly hosted the "Hot Isostatic Pressing Technology Innovation Forum" hosted by Iron and Steel Research Haopu Technology Co., Ltd. The forum aims to showcase the latest research and development achievements of China Iron and Steel Research Institute in the field of hot isostatic pressing technology, promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between experts and scholars at home and abroad, and jointly promote the innovation and application expansion of hot isostatic pressing technology.
Zhang Shaoming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Iron and Steel Research Institute, delivered a report entitled "Introduction to Powder Metallurgy and Hot Isostatic Pressing Technology", Academician Gan Yong, former Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a report entitled "Reflections on Challenges and Opportunities in the Development of Frontier Materials", Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor Ding Wenjiang of Shanghai Jiaotong University delivered a report entitled "Independent Innovation and Integration of Industry and Research - Taking Magnesium and Aluminum Materials as Examples", Researcher Zhang Guoqing, First-level Full-time Chief Engineer of the Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials of China Aerospace Power, delivered a report entitled "Current Status and Development Direction of High-temperature Alloy Research and Development", and Professor Huang Weidong of Northwestern Polytechnical University delivered a report entitled "Frontier Overview of Additive Manufacturing Materials Development". Experts and scholars at the meeting discussed and exchanged in depth the principles, applications, and development trends of hot isostatic pressing technology, focusing on the development direction of high-performance materials, light alloy material technology and development trends, metal additive manufacturing technology, aerospace material technology, and other research results and practical experience.
